Last updated: February 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Calect ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Account

To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must not allow third parties to use, lend, or transfer your account credentials.

3. External Services

The Service may require access to external services (such as Google Calendar) to provide its functionality. By connecting an external service, you authorize the Service to access your data within the scope of that authorization.

Your use of external services is also subject to their respective terms of service. Changes, limitations, or interruptions to external services may affect the Service's functionality, and Calect is not responsible for such impacts.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Place an unreasonable load on the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Violate the terms of service of any connected external service
  • Engage in any other conduct we reasonably determine to be inappropriate

5. Fees

If you use paid features, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed on the Service and through the payment methods we designate.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service belong to us or our licensors. Your license to use the Service under these Terms does not constitute a transfer of any intellectual property rights.

7. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or terminate the Service at any time. If we terminate the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be fit for any particular purpose, operate without interruption, or be free of errors.

The Service depends on external services, and interruptions to those services may affect the Service's functionality.

9. Limitation of Liability

Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Calect and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Even where we are liable, our total liability shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Service settings. Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently deleted.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Privacy

For information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to the handling of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Assignment

You may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations, including your information, to a third party in connection with a business transfer or other event, and you agree to such assignment in advance.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.

14. General Provisions

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
